The new hall of the city 

The future Exhibition, Fairs and Conventions Center of Córdoba will offer the city a new and more representative hall for meetings, a new flexible space where to hold different kind of events. At the same time (and taking into account the space restrictions from the urban approach), the building must be shown as a single special unit within the entire Parque Joyero of Córdoba.

Our proposal wants to configure an interior urban hall that does not renounce a decidedly public and representative character, although it is obliged to provide itself with maximum flexibility of use. The consistency of the current building’s structure and the interior proportions let us to reconfigure the existing space and to transform it into a representative one, meaning a new secular basilica in which the city could recognized itself.
